A Surprisingly Fluffy Bird, paperback edition

My two kids had started to read Algy's adventures with my help,as we're from Spain and their English is not good enough, but that aside, we're having lots of fun reading it. Jenny was kind enough to send it in record time and she was so sweet dedicating it to my children, which made them very happpy and "feel important" because the writer (and Algy) wrote a few words to them. I highly recommend it, not only for kids but for adults too!

A Surprisingly Fluffy Bird, hardback edition

This book is about a fluffy bird lost at sea and how he survives.

He meets funny friends along the way when he is washed up on a new land

It's a lovely book with lots of really good pictures at the front of the book and at the start of the chapters. I really enjoyed this book, I loved the rhymes, especially the one about the author at the back, she lives in Scotland's Wild West, beside...

I really liked the imagery that her descriptive writing evokes. And I am really looking forward to the next book, the tree with a golden heart, it looks cool.

A Surprisingly Fluffy Bird, hardback edition

Our family have really enjoyed following Algy on his perilous journey. The story is layered in a way that engages younger readers while still providing depth and interest for older ones. The coastal setting and animals Algy meets are beautifully illustrated in watercolour. Recommended!

A Surprisingly Fluffy Bird, kindle ebook edition

A lovely book with beautiful illustrations. Jenny Chapman uses words cleverly to paint pictures in your imagination whether you know the west coast of Scotland and its wildlife or not. A book to be enjoyed by people of all ages, especially when read aloud. Looking forward to the next one and I will continue to follow Algy's Adventures on Tumblr.
